Fractionated Coconut Oil 分馏椰子油

Hot Pressed Fractionated Coconut Oil
分馏椰子油

Botanical Name: Cocos nucifera

Fractionated coconut oil contains only the medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) of coconut oil which is caprylic and capric acids, making it a liquid and very stable oil. This is a lovely oil that is light, non-greasy and non-staining. It also contains anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties.

Fractionated coconut oil is a very popular oil in a warm and humid climate such as Malaysia because of its light and "less greasy" texture. It also does not contain any scent, thus making it a favourite for blending with essential oils.

Some may feel that because fractionated coconut oil has been processed and exposed to heat, it has lost some of its nutritive qualities. However, this oil is still a good choice especially if one is looking to switch to more natural alternatives but have been reluctant due to the "heavy" or "greasy" feel of other carrier oils. It can also be used in conjunction with other carrier oils to create a blend which is both synergistic in function and yet not too heavy.

Use this oil as a base support for:

  • Anti-fungal blends for skin infections
  • Blends to condition dull or dry hair
  • Creating blends that feel less "greasy" and more light

Suitable for all skin types.

Suggested dilution: can be used up to 100%, but it is recommended to add other carrier oils that can contribute synergistically to the end product.

Packaging: 100ml oils are sold in dark amber glass bottle.

Note: Fractionation is a process that uses heat to separate the oil into its components—in this case, to contain only the capric and caprylic triglycerides. Hence, this is a refined oil with little or no scent and should not be confused with virgin coconut oil which contains a high percentage of lauric acid.
