Common Uses: One of the most potent antiseptic essential oils. The main component of thyme oil is Thymol has been extensively documented for its antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-fungal action (it is used in Listerine for its antiseptic actions). In most cases, can replace tea tree as a topical antiseptic, but may cause irritation to people with sensitive skin.
