Cedarwood has been traditionally used in the East for bronchitis and urinary tract infections, and as a preservative and incense. It is still used in temple incense and traditional medicine by the Tibetans.

Cedar trees are mentioned in the Bible, symbolizing fertility and abundance.

Common Uses:

• Cedarwood's astringent effect is beneficial for oily skin, acne and dandruff. Also helps to close pores on acne skin and is used after delivery to tighten skin.
• Diffuse this oil to ease respiratory complaints such as coughs, asthma and excess phlegm. Alternative to eucalyptus for young children.
• Has an introspective, harmonising and opening effect on the mind and psyche; it can aid meditation.
