Plum has antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties as it is rich in vitamin C, phenolic acid, gallic acid and ellagic acid. Hence, it helps to reduce wrinkles, improves skin texture, protects skin cells from UV-related damage and also encourages elasticity and suppleness in aged skin which are most often lost during old age.
