Mica Powders 雲母粉

Mica powders are natural occurring minerals that can range from being matte to sparkling. They work best in clear products like clear melt and pour (using transparent soap bases) where their shimmer is reflected and refracted beautifully in the light. 

However most mica powders do contain synthetic dyes and pigments to achieve that color effect so do use them in moderation. Normally we recommend keeping the amount of mica to ~1% of total ingredients.

Grade: Cosmetic

Suggested Uses: Soap Making (best with melt and pour soaps), home-made cosmetics such as eye shadows and body shimmer creams. Recommended usage is ~1% of total ingredients.

• Red mica powder: Mica, Titanium dioxide, D&C Red 7
  
• Blue mica powder: Titanium dioxide, mica, iron oxides
• Green mica powder: Titanium dioxide, mica,iron oxides
• Yellow mica powder: Mica, FD&C Yellow 5, Aluminum Lake
• Golden mica powder: Mica, FD&C Yellow 5, Aluminum Lake
