Cold-Pressed Japanese Camellia Oil

Botanical Name: Camellia Japonica

This thick, golden colored oil is high in nutrients that revitalize and rejuvenate the hair, nails and skin. Also known as Tsubaki oil, this oil is easily absorbed into the skin and is said to help reduce the look of skin spots and scars. The texture of this oil is heavier than sweet almond, making it wonderful for dry skin and to prevent stretch marks, but less suitable for acne-prone skin. 

Personal haircare tips:

• One can apply a few drops of Japanese Camellia oil to hair tips after towel drying hair to smoothen hair and reduce split ends. 
• As a pre-wash hair treatment. Massage a few drops of Japanese Camellia oil with jojoba oil into hair. Wrap with warm towel for 30 mins to an hour. Wash and rinse as usual.

If used for superfatting in soap making, this oil will create a soap with creamy lather and conditioning finish. Recommended percentage: 10% - 100%. Suitable for hair and body soap. Saponification value: 0.138
